The Academy of Business and Leadership Education

FCAT testing is scheduled for the second and third week of March therefore the math for this unit will all be based on Testing Strategies.  Topics will vary according to grade level.  Hardwork will be rewarded on March 8th with the ABLE Fair, an academic fun day.

ATTENTION PARENTS:
Here are several ideas to help sharpen those math skills while at home.

• An excellent website to work on daily would be www.fcathelper.com
• All 5th and 6th graders should write times tables or work with multiplication cards daily.  Some do not know them and there is not enough time in class to devote to this topic that needs to be mastered.  Calculators may not be used on the FCAT by the 5th or 6th graders so without this sharpened skill they will have difficulty on a TIMED test.   

I will provide extra credit to students that have notes or emails from parent/guardian that verifies time spent on work of any above listed ideas to sharpen math skills.  Extra credit value will depend on amount of time worked.
