Leadership Program Certifications

 

The Academy for Business and Leadership Education (ABLE) will implement a leadership program.  The program will emphasize critical thinking and decision-making skills, problem solving strategies, and group dynamics.  Attitudes of responsibility, civic duty and character development are the guiding principles.

 

Level One - Self Reflection

            Who am I?  What do I believe?  Why do I believe what I believe?  What Is Knowledge?  What is truth? 

 

Level Two - Critical Thinking

            What is logical?  What is inductive and deductive reasoning? Evaluating knowledge claims.

Five Habits of Mind

  1. Help students to critically examine evidence
  2. To see the world through multiple points of view
  3. To make connections and see patterns
  4. To imagine alternatives
  5. To ask and answer, "What difference does it make?  Who cares?"

 

Level Three - Great Leaders

            Who were the great leaders of the past?  What are the characteristics and attitudes of leadership?  Recognizing leadership qualities in you. 

 

Level Four - Cultivating Leadership

            Developing the leader within you.

            Develop a leadership project:

  4. Evaluation
